A brief history of Rodan and Fields:

The REVERSE Regimen

You should be using REVERSE is you are experiencing brown spots, skin dullness and sun damaged skin. Reverse brightens the complexion and also works on fine lines and wrinkles.

Step 1: Deep Exfoliating Wash

Cleanses and refines sun damaged and blotchy complexions. Alpha-hydroxy acids loosen your dead skin cells and the exfoliating beads sweep them away. Your skin is now left brighter.

Step 2:  Intensive Brightening Toner

Kojic acid and liquorice help brighten the skin and fight discolouration. Salicylic acid exfoliates and refines your skin. The anti-oxidants in the formula help reduce damage caused by free-radicals. 

Step 3:  Dual Active Brightening Complex

The combination of Vitamin C and Retinol brightens the skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Kojic acids and liquorice once again, brightens the skin and fades any discoloration. All you need to do is blend a “pea size” amount of each product together and then apply to your face. 

Step 4: Reverse SPF 55+ Sunscreen  

Shield RF technology with colorless carotenoids absorb the UV rays thus, increasing your protection. It contains Vitamin E and green tea to help fight free radicals. The liquorice extract and mulberry brightens the skin.

Other Tips When You Start a REVERSE Regimen:

1)   Get rid of everything! If you’re normally using facewash or evening moisturizers at home – box them up and put evverything away. Dr. Rodan and Dr Fields say it’s really important to ensure not to mix other products with their regimens as different ingredients from different products can mix together and cause adverse effects (increased redness, rashes, etc). So better to put it all aside and stick to your regimen.

2)   Regimen Basics: inside the package you’ll find a pamphlet that details how to introduce the product to your skin.  You will increase your use over 2 weeks. Remember to use it all over your face area (no spot or specific area treatments). Entire Regimen on entire face; always make sure you complete each step.

3) Do not use the Reverse SPF 55+ Sunscreen in the evening

4) If you are experiencing dryness, the Doctors recommend using the Reverse Overnight Restorative Cream (sold separately) or the Soothe Sensitive Skin Treatment Cream (sold separately).

5) If you find you are experiencing some redness, skip a day and scale back as you continue to build up your tolerance. 

6) Go Naked- you’ll find as the weeks go by, you’ll end up wearing less make up because you’ll have less to cover up. R+F suggests going make up free as often as you can. I still wear make up to go out to big events but not nearly anywhere close as what I used to wear.
